I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix % x) Z! j9 ~+ l$ Z# ^) y. Z1 Q) b! ~$ w2 a$ E" A! N
