I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 6 D# a: b- A5 I6 a8 l/ ~* Y1 |! v+ P/ n& |1 b+ i
